blog gone bad

i spent hours this weekend trying to make the blog look all fancy and stuff. i looked at other blogs, researched, read, control clicked, previewed, and all for naught. the blog is a mess. by friday it will be a mess no more. promise. can you just hold out for my wise thoughts til then?
