hot springs was hot!

lee and i just got back from the arkansas fiber extravaganza in hot springs, arkansas.  boy howdy, did we have fun--and frustration--but mostly fun.  of course, we were late leaving, and i was still dyeing at the 11th hour. but hey, that's who i am.  we hopped in the car around 7 pm thursday night and made it to cape girardeau to spend the night.  of course, i forgot my crazy pills, but lucky for us, we were right across the street from a target.  lee got me some dope before i woke up friday morning.

we were planning for a leisurely 5-ish hour drive the rest of the way.  um, the best laid plans...an accident outside of little rock held us up for about an hour and a half; another accident in little rock gave us another hour and a half exercise in patience.  ah well, all's well that ends well, right?

made it to hot springs about 6:30 pm and met my parents for a quick free drink and bar snacks.  then we headed over to the convention center for a rushed and hushed set up during the keynote address by the....wait for it...wait for it...MASON DIXON GIRLS!  those are some funny chicks. 

barely got set up and folks decided to buy some yarn!  right then and there!  they couldn't be stopped!  came out of the gate running!

but, folks gotta eat.  found a joint with a funny server and some seriously flat beer.  ate a po-boy.  visited more.  went to bed.
